Returning In 2017

Greetings Dear Hearts and Gentle People!  Happy 2017!

It has been a long time since I have posted a blog. So many things have happened since my last post. For starters, we purchased a home and moved from Milton, FL to Pensacola, FL – about 25 miles apart.

If any of you have ever moved, you can imagine what an undertaking that was. I had no idea I had accumulated so much stuff. That was a real eye-opener to all the fabric I’ve accumulated as well. Whew! Let’s just say, I have placed myself on a fabric shopping ban.

In April, I went  on my first cruise. I can’t wait to share that experience and the inspiration I got from there. Found time to make a graduation robe.

In June, I had the honor of being the guest speaker for a “Pink Tea”. This was a fundraiser for our local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Can’t wait to share my take away.

In July, I underwent a double mastectomy. I’m already a 7 year breast cancer survivor. And no, the cancer did not return. My goal was to just have reconstruction for symmetry. So I’ll have to fill you in on how we got to the end result.

In October, I had the honor of being the guest speaker at the “Pink Glove” Sunday Service, sharing my breast cancer journey.  In the same month, I was a guest honoree at the 2nd Annual Antioch Baptist Church Hope Ball and the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) walk, both events support breast cancer research and those affected by the disease.

As you can see, 2016 was busy and full. Bare with me as I record and fill-in the time gaps. Thank you in advance for you patience during my absence. I am so excited about my projects for 2017. Stay right here.

 Enjoy the journey.
